Hertfordshire, UK:  Salary up to £90k

Our client is a global pharmaceutical product development organisation providing worldwide services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors from its European, American and Japanese locations.  As part of expansion of their European Division, we are recruiting a Medical Advisor to provide medical knowledge, advice and input on clinical research, medical safety and ethics.

The Role

The role of Medical Advisor covers a broad spectrum of therapeutic areas and involves consulting and operational activities with a wide variety of clients from start-up to multinational, global pharmaceutical companies.  The Medical Advisor will provide medical knowledge, advice and input on clinical research, medical safety and ethics.

The Person

As this position will be working for one of the world’s pioneers in this field, they require an enthusiastic and talented medical affairs professional with experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or clinical research environment.  Candidates must possess a recognised medical degree with significant and recent expertise in a commercial setting. The successful candidate will have experience of the clinical process and associated medical issues, plus pharmacovigilance and medical monitoring.  They will have therapeutic knowledge in order to provide input into project design, proposal development and bid preparation (ideally in one or more of the following areas: oncology, CNS, respiratory and anti-infectives).
