Flame Pharma is working alongside a leading Clinical Development Organisation to appoint a Senior Database and SAS Programmer to join their dynamic and multicultural team in their modern state of the art facilities in France. THE ROLE:

As Senior Database and SAS Programmer, the successful candidate will be an integral member of the Data Management team, acting as line manager for assigned Biometrics staff. They will effectively provide programming and technical support to allocated clinical studies whilst adhering to project timelines and budgets and will proactively communicate any programming related study issues directly to the study manager.

The Senior Database and SAS Programmer will thus provide technical leadership within the data management team, including line management as required and participate in business development and external client liaison. The successful candidate must ensure that clinical trials are conducted in compliance with all applicable safety legislation and ultimately ensure that the clinical trial data is reliable.

THE PERSON:

Candidates must be able to speak French & be eligible to work in the EU. Candidates must have proven data management related programming experience within the pharmaceutical industry or with a CRO. Candidates must demonstrate superior knowledge of the clinical development process, ICH GCP and an awareness of the global regulatory environment is also essential.

The successful candidate should also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team. Domestic and international travel may also be required of the candidate thus a flexible attitude and approach to their work is key.
